WHAY- Pizza in Whispers
Dec 14th, 2009 by Morgan

Hungry for Pizza while you’re up late studying during Finals and Reading Week?

Walk a few feet from your study spot at the library to Whispers Cafe and get some Dominos Pizza!

Kappa Sigma / Kappa Kappa Gamma Thurtene will be selling Dominos Pizza all week long in Whispers Cafe after it closes from 12am-2am.
(We will not be selling pizza on Friday night).

Pizza will be $2 per slice, and this year we have decided all proceeds from our Thurtene efforts will be donated to Nurses for Newborns, a local charity that provides a safety net for families most at-risk in order to prevent infant mortality (http://www.nfnf.org/). Unfortunately, we will not be able to take campus card, so you need to bring cash.

We will update this page with more info, we may be selling pizza until 3am some nights!

WHAY- “America’s Energy Future”
Oct 29th, 2009 by Morgan

This is what WashU is saying: “America’s Energy Future” consists of Peabody Energy, Arch Coal, Ameren and Monsanto.

Green Action at VP Debate
As students at a university where the board of directors includes executives from Arch Coal and Peabody, we want our voices heard. We will not stand aside while an energy future we don’t agree with is being painted for our generation and our country. We believe our future comprises renewable, socially responsible energy sources such as wind and solar. “America’s Energy Future” must not include dangerous, non-renewable energy sources such as coal and nuclear that destroy our communities and our environment.

To show our administration that OUR energy future is clean and renewable, we will be doing three things:

1) A Rally and Open Mic Demonstration at the DUC at 1:15PM

2) Assemble and get ready for action in the Mallinckrodt Dining Area at 5:15PM

3) A Student Symposium reflecting OUR Energy Future at 6:00PM in DUC 276

Come show what YOUR energy future is!
